Lakewold Gardens is pleased to offer three gardening classes during the spring of 2015. The workshops are open to the general public, free of charge:
- Thursday, March 19th from 9am-Noon: Pruning
- Thursday, April 23rd from 9am-Noon: Weed Management
- Thursday, May 21st from 9am-Noon: Fern Care
All three workshops are on the grounds of Lakewold Gardens, at 12317 Gravelly Lake Dr SW, Lakewood, WA 98499.
The workshops, focused on the Pacific Northwest region, will each feature a presentation by a knowledgeable garden specialist. Presenters include: Robert Sweet, Certified Arborist; Mark Lyke, Lakewold’s Horticulture Manager and a Master Gardener; Jo Laskowski, Curator of the Hardy Fern Foundation.
Following each presentation, workshop participants will practice what they have learned, hands-on in the garden. Mentoring will be available from the instructors, garden staff, and horticulture committee members.
